Ha Hatley

Ha Hatley, MD, is a board-certified physician with expertise in obesity and family medicine. Born in Vietnam, she moved to the United States at 17 and has dedicated her career to providing patient-focused care. Hatley takes a holistic approach to health, addressing her patients’ diverse needs while promoting overall wellness.

Her academic background demonstrates a commitment to research and medical excellence. During her studies, she focused on rare genetic diseases, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Smith College and a Master of Science in Biology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She later completed her medical degree at the SIU School of Medicine, followed by a family medicine residency at Mercy Hospital, where she refined her skills in comprehensive patient care.

Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Obesity Medicine, Hatley has extensive experience in emergency and family medicine. Since August 2022, she has managed diverse medical cases, treating acute and chronic conditions across cardiovascular, pulmonary, psychiatric, and gastrointestinal systems. Her work in high-pressure emergency settings includes critical procedures and managing complex cases, while her family medicine practice emphasizes long-term health management.

Since March 2024, Hatley has expanded her practice through telemedicine, focusing on obesity management. She utilizes advanced treatments, including GLP1 agonists and Phentermine, to help patients achieve sustainable weight loss and manage obesity-related conditions. Additionally, she provides urgent care consultations, ensuring accessible treatment for common and acute health issues.

In addition to her clinical work, Hatley is passionate about holistic medicine. She incorporates integrative and preventative care into her practice to improve patient outcomes. Her philanthropic efforts include supporting Catholic charities and participating in medical missions. She notably contributed to a two-week mission in Peru, where she provided essential healthcare services to underserved communities in remote areas.
